Workforce Planning, Organizational Analysis and Classification:
OHRA works with organizations to assess the current workforce, predict the future workforce, identify gaps, and develop new strategies to address those gaps. It provides vital data for management to use when preparing their staffing plans. The staff reviews positions for appropriate classification and assesses reorganization plans to determine structural consistency and grade levels.
Staffing and Recruitment:
Our staff develops and implements innovative and effective programs and policies that streamline recruitment and selection processes and fosters retention and motivation of high-qualified, technically competent, and diverse personnel.
OHRA administers and advises on the systematic process by which the Office of Science involves its employees, as individuals and members of a group, in improving organizational effectiveness against the accomplishment of agency mission and goals. This process involves management in planning work and setting expectations; continually monitoring performance; developing employees’ capacity to perform; rating performance on a regular basis and rewarding good performance.
We administer and advise on the full range of employee benefits including Federal Employee Health Benefits, Group Life Insurance, Retirement planning and computations, Thrift Savings Plan, and Flexible Spending Accounts, and Workers' Compensation.
