Welcome Dr. Steven Bakhtiar, our newly appointed Laboratory Director!

Dr. Bakhtiar most recently was the Department Manager for Nuclear Material Characterization Department at Idaho National Laboratory. He is a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM) and has been qualified and served as a Lead Auditor for three DOE national programs. Dr. Bakhtiar has over 24 years of experience in numerous capacities including Laboratory Operations, Quality Assurance, assessments, training, science education, Actinide chemistry, Radiological Control and waste management, and over seventeen years of experience as a manager responsible for Laboratory services. Welcome to NBL.

Mass Spectrometry Training

NBL hosted DOE members from the Savannah River Site for a practical workshop on mass spectrometry method development, quality assurance and quality control.

Active For Life Challenge 2011

For 10 weeks, twenty-four NBL employees took on a challenge to exercise more and eat healthier by participating in the American Cancer Society Active for Life Challenge 2011. Two NBL teams competed against other teams at Argonne National laboratory and other national laboratories across the United States. Go NBL!
