Takeeda Smith joined the Office of the Deputy Director for Science Programs as Program Assistant in November 2009. Her responsibilities include serving as the assistant point of contact for personnel actions, calendar and scheduling, preparation of travel, and processing of correspondence pertaining to Office of Science programs and management. She’s currently studying Criminal Justice and Business Administration at Prince George’s Community College. She previously served in the administrative field for four years as the front office Secretary II, at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission located in Rockville, MD. She has received several awards and certificates such as: a Letter of Commendation, Certificate of Appreciation, and Outstanding Work Performance.
